Tonight we will be rolling out ServiceMonster 5.0, an update to our software which will enable cross-platform compatibility. This means that from now on, you will be able to view and use ServiceMonster in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, or any major internet browser. You will also be able to use our software from a PC or a Mac.
If you choose to continue using Internet Explorer, you may need to disable your Compatibility View settings. Here are instructions for how to do this:
Step 1) In Internet Explorer, hold down the “Alt” key and press “T.”
Step 2) While still holding down the “Alt” key, press “B.”
Step 3) Be sure that http://servicemonster.net IS NOT listed in the “Websites you’ve added to Compatibility View.” If it is, select it and click “Remove.”
Step 4) Be sure the “Display all websites in Compatibility View” option is NOT checked.
Step 1) In Internet Explorer, go to the top menu and click on “Tools.”
Step 2) In the drop-down menu that appears, click on “Compatibility View Settings.”
Step 3) Same as Step 3 above.

FillMySchedule is our direct-mail marketing service. Lately I’ve been scratching my head wondering why there are some of our users who still haven’t signed up for the service, so I decided to publish the numbers for just ONE of our cards: the three-month reminder.
We are often told that sending a reminder card at three months seems like a waste because if you did a good job, a customer shouldn’t need to hire you for a repeat service that soon.
Well, the data speaks for itself. Here are the raw numbers for our three-month reminder card:
We sent out a total of 49,064 cards for our customers, which cost them a total of $62,312. This investment led to a total of 4397 confirmed jobs with an average fee of $279.71 per job. That means the gross income directly related to the three-month reminder cards comes to $1,229,874.
That’s right: the initial investment of $62,312 turned into OVER A MILLION DOLLARS, which means that FillMySchedule gave its users a 1873.76% return on investment.
