Before & After: Cleaning Pics of the Week

Happy Wednesday, and welcome to another edition of “Before & After: Cleaning Pics of the Week.”

This week’s Before & After photo comes courtesy of Douglas Meehan, owner of Rocky Mtn. Pro-Tek Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning, a carpet and upholstery cleaning company serving the Denver metro area.

In addition to their carpet & upholstery cleaning services, Rocky Mtn. Pro-Tek Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning also does area rug cleaning in their rug spa; tile & grout cleaning and sealing; and pet odor removal. They are one of Angie’s List’s Super Service Award Winners, and they’re certified by the IICRC, PACR and Better Business Bureau.

Sometimes the simplest images tell the best stories. Regarding this week’s photo, Rocky Mtn. Pro-Tek writes:

This carpet was cleaned yesterday. The tech didn’t know the carpet was green–it was so dirty on top, so the difference was substantial.

“The tech didn’t know the carpet was green,” indeed. Who could have guessed that green was this carpet’s original color?

We love this photo because it demonstrates the essence of professional carpet cleaning. This carpet wasn’t damaged by any particular sort of stain; instead, its color had significantly changed because it was holding years and years of soil in its fibers. Many carpets undergo this gradual color fading/discoloration when they are not regularly cleaned–this photo merely provides an (especially dramatic) example of this effect. Brilliant job, Rocky Mtn. Pro-Tek!
