The 2012 Connections Conference & Exhibition is one of the carpet cleaning and restoration industry’s major events. Once again, it will take place at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort, and will feature classes, live demonstrations, networking events and more.

Educational highlights include the Smart Business Symposium on May 2, which addresses how to use technology to improve your business; Xactimate 27 Training, which goes from May 2-3; and the “Insider Secrets: Collect on Insurance Claims and Protect Your Business” and “Creative Marketing Through Social Networking” seminars on May 4.

ServiceMonster CEO Joe Kowalski will present at the May 2 Smart Business Symposium, explaining how to use centralized data systems to streamline your scheduling, manage customers more effectively and cut costs. Don’t miss it!

Live demonstrations include rug cleaning by Jeff Bishop of Clean Care Seminars and Dusty Roberts of RugBadger and the RugHub.

Daniel Bernazzani of DryAdvise will demonstrate mold testing, while Dane Gregory of Interlink Supply will do Stone, Tile & Grout Cleaning.

The Costa Group’s Barry Costa will do carpet repairs and reinstallation; Josh Frink of Basic Coatings will do wood floor cleaning and Extech Sales Manager Tom Rochenski will do live water damage-related inspections.

    Carpet cleaning is an enormous industry. For some people it can offer a small business opportunity, for others, it is something that they do twice a year when they rent a machine from the store, and others, it is a service that they hire a professional company for. This article is about carpet cleaning in general. We will look at what exactly carpet cleaning machines do.

    Sanitary Maintenance magazine reports that carpet cleaning is widely misunderstood, and chemical developers have only within recent decades created new carpet-care technologies. Particularly, encapsulation and other green technologies work better, are easier to use, require less training, save more time and money, and lead to less resoiling than prior methods.
