Industry News: From IICRC to Clean Trust to . . . IICRC Again!

Breaking news!  The IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) ruffled more than a few feathers in the carpet cleaning industry when it decided to rebrand itself as The Clean Trust last October. While some cleaners praised “The Clean Trust” as a simpler, easier to say (and remember) name, others felt that the rebrand was, at best, unnecessary.

Well, somebody must have been listening, because rumor has it that The Clean Trust has announced that they will be reverting back to their former acronym. In other words, The Clean Trust is dead; long live the IICRC!

Because the re-rebrand remains unconfirmed at this time, we can only speculate as to the reasons behind it. Could it have something to do with the IICRC’s new partnership with the RIA?

Regardless of its reasons, we imagine that this decision, though no less controversial than the initial rebrand, will be very popular with cleaners.  But what do you think?

Totally Ridiculous! They will certainly have massive fallout from this.

I’m glad i stopped giving them money a couple of years back. I would be pretty upset to have contributed to this waste of money.

Seems a waste of money to me?

We suspect a lot of people are going to lose money on changing logos again!
